I’ve been playing with lace patterns a lot lately in anticipation of fall. Here’s a sampler that I made with 4 different patterns. I’ll probably end up frogging it and using the yarn for other projects, this is just practice. I started a scarflette with this pretty teal in the fishscale lace insert pattern, but i don’t think I have enough to finish it. Besides that I made a few minor mistakes. I want to put fewer stockinette stitches in between the lace inserts, too. Right now, there’s too much of a gap between the inserts, even though its only 3 stitches. Once I start to increase for the flare it will only get bigger. I’ll have only one stitch in between. this picture is on the needles so its hard to see the pattern, but its really cute, and I think it will look really nice as a scarflette. Try not to flinch, I’m going to frog it and start over with a different color.
I’m going to Purl and Purl Patchwork on Sunday with Keeia and I can’t wait to get my mitts on some pretty new Kersti colors. Its my all time favorite yarn to work with. Its the perfect weight, it washes well and its a dream to knit with, it always looks so pretty. I’ll keep you posted on the progress. I hope to find a cute fabric at Purl Patchwork to turn into some aprons. That’s the next project!
