It finally happened! My very first tomato turned a lovely shade of crimson. It sat on the windowsill for a few days to fully ripen and this morning I could resist its siren call no longer. I had to eat it! The adjustments that I made to my growing really paid off. It had so much flavor. It was acidic, sweet, and oh so tomatoey. Plus there was a lot of nice tomato flesh. Is tomatoey a word? Who cares, it was delicious. The other tomatoes are slowing turning a pale pale yellow so they aren’t that far behind.
There are even more blossoms beginning at the tops of the vines.
